Description
1962 New York Mets Team Signed Baseball Despite losing 120 games this season, and causing manager Casey Stengel to lament, "Can't anybody here play this game?!," the inaugural Mets squad remains one of the most sought after team balls of the post-war era. Here we find a truly remarkable example, all the more appealing for the genuine Stengel autograph found alone on the sweet spot. Collectors know the Hall of Fame manager is almost always found in a secretarial version. Among the other members of this last place club present: Lavagetto, Ashburn, Craig, Hook, Chacon, Jackson, Hunter, Woodling and Throneberry. Twenty-seven autographs are here in total, each a bold 9/10 or better. ONL (Giles). LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.Auction Info
