Description

1963 Green Bay Packers Team Signed Football. "Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing," once claimed Hall of Fame coach Vince Lombardi, and one does not make such a bold pronouncement without an established history of winning ways. And as the stamping on this Official NFL "The Duke" football notes, the men who patrolled the icy turf of Lambeau did indeed notch consecutive World Championships in 1961 and 1962, establishing this squad as one of the game's great dynasties. Assembled here are the signatures of forty-six men who came close to making it a trifecta, most notably Lombardi himself, Starr, Jordan, Wood, Adderley, Davis, Nitschke, Ringo, Taylor and Gregg. That's an even ten Canton inductees! Signature quality holds steady at a consistent 8/10, with all readily legible and unmistakable. The ball derives from the personal collection of team member Frank Mestnick, whose name is penned on a piece of vintage white tape affixed just below the ball's lacing. LOA from PSA/DNA.
