Description
R. Forgan long nose play club. With original golden finish, slight spoon to face, three-dowel horn sole, oval lead back weight, hickory shaft, neck whipping, stamped "Forgan" shaft and russet grip. Impressed into the top of the head is the block printed "R. Forgan" stamp with Prince of Wales plume. This outstanding collectible was made in the shop of Robert Forgan and Son in St. Andrews, Scotland. Small dark spot on head. Circa 1880. Head 5 3/4" from toe to heel; 1 1/4" face; 41" shaft.
