Description

1987-88 John Smoltz Game Worn Minor League Jersey. Almost every baseball player needs a little seasoning before he is big league worthy. Following his trade from the Detroit Tigers organization, John Smoltz wore this jersey while with the Richmond Braves in 1987 or early in the '88 season. The jersey was originally tagged for use in 1984 but nobody wore the digits. In '86 David Palmer wore #46. Great use is exhibited on the knit garment with puckering and anchor stitching fraying from Minor League use. "Smoltz" is arched to a nameplate in single-color blue on the reverse. A Wilson size label and "Tapered" flag tag (curled) occupy the tail while "84" is applied to a swatch in the lowermost region. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
