Description

1980 WWF Wrestling Broadside Poster with Early Hulk Hogan Appearance. In 1980, Hulk Hogan was emerging from relative obscurity, having recently transitioned from regional circuits and international appearances into the World Wrestling Federation spotlight. Still a few years away from becoming a pop culture icon, Hogan was gaining traction with WWF fans due to his imposing presence and raw charisma. On September 8 at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, NY, he secured a decisive win over Dominic DeNucci - a respected veteran and future Hall of Famer - in one of the evening's featured bouts.

The event was headlined by WWF World Champion Bob Backlund facing Intercontinental Champion Ken Patera (replacing Pat Patterson) in a rare non-title match between two of the era's most dominant athletes. Both would go on to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The card also included appearances by fellow Hall of Famers Baron Mikel Scicluna and Johnny Rodz, highlighting a transitional moment where rising stars like Hogan began to share space with some of wrestling's most enduring names.

Poster is printed on card stock at dimensions of 17x26". Tack holes appear at top and bottom borders, but otherwise the broadside presents with no visual distractions of note.
