Description
1927 W560 Uncut Partial Panel With Bottomley, Foxx and Vance. Although assigned a "W" number by the American Card Catalog, this is not a "strip card" issue in the strictest sense as are most other "W" sets, as the playing card format W560 edition are frequently found in uncut sheets of 16 cards. The cards are designed like a deck of playing cards, with the pictures on the various suits, explaining the presence of both red and black variations. The offered partial sheet of a dozen cards includes early appearances by Hall of Fame members Jim Bottomley, Jesse Haines, Jimmie Foxx and Dazzy Vance. Others include Willie Sherdel, Lester Bell, Taylor Douthit, Fred Maguire, Max Bishop, Jim Wilson, Fred Marberry and George Pipgras. Hand cuyt with some sear at corners.
