Description
1907-09 PC765-1 Dietsche Postcards Bill Coughlin PSA EX+ 5.5 - Pop Two, One Higher! In 1907, the Detroit Tigers won their very first American League pennant before bowing to the Chicago Cubs in the Fall Classic. As part of the postseason celebration, there were numerous promotions, giveaways and souvenirs that showcased the Motown squad. Issued for the '07 World Series was a set of 16 postcards produced by the Dietsche Postcard Company of Detroit. Today, based on their limited circulation, these are not easy cards to find. The top name on the team, of course, was Ty Cobb, but offered is the postcard spotlighting third baseman Bill Coughlin. This rare example is found in Excellent+ condition. Graded PSA EX+ 5.5. According to the PSA Pop Report, this is one of only two cards graded EXCELLENT+ with just one rated higher.Guide Value or Estimate: $400 - up.
