Description

1958 Dodgers First Game In Los Angeles Ticket Stub. The Dodgers' move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles after the 1957 season was one of the most transformative moments in baseball history. Owner Walter O'Malley sought a modern stadium and greater financial opportunities, which Brooklyn officials failed to provide, prompting the decision to relocate west alongside the Giants, who moved to San Francisco. The move ended 68 years of Dodgers baseball in Brooklyn, leaving behind the beloved Ebbets Field and a heartbroken fanbase that had celebrated the team's 1955 World Series title just two years earlier. In Los Angeles, the Dodgers quickly found success, drawing massive crowds at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum and later Dodger Stadium, and their relocation helped establish Major League Baseball as a truly national sport.

Offered is a ticket stub to the April 18, 1958, game in which Dodger blue was worn in Los Angeles for the first time. Moderate wear.
