1931 Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball. The Bambino fills half the surface of this non-official sphere with an inscription in black fountain pen ink reading, "To My Pal Anthony [partially illegible], Mayor of Garfield, From Babe Ruth, June [illegible] 1931." Our lot photography will indicate that surface wear has claimed some portion of the text, including its fair share of Ruth's autograph, but it's still visible and unmistakable.
