1980-94 Johnny Pesky Signed Checks, Lot of 12. Johnny Pesky was an American baseball player, coach, and beloved figure in Boston Red Sox history, known for his skill, loyalty, and lifelong connection to the team. Playing primarily as a shortstop and third baseman from 1942 to 1954, he was a consistent contact hitter who led the American League in hits three times. Pesky missed three prime seasons serving in World War II but returned to remain a key contributor to Boston's strong postwar teams.
