Description

1960 Chuck Bednarik Philadelphia Eagles NFL Championship Salesman's Sample Ring. On offer here is the primary symbol of the Eagles historic 1960 NFL Championship season, made all the more appealing by the player attribution on the ring: Hall of Fame linebacker Chuck Bednarik, who famously sent the Giants' Frank Gifford to La La Land in the same year. Other Eagle stars on the 1960 squad included Norm Van Brocklin, Sonny Jurgenson, and Tommy McDonald. When Philly dispatched the Packers in the season finale, 17-13, they also handed the great Vince Lombardi his first and only defeat.

The attractive design features a silver face with four green faux emeralds surrounding one large faux white diamond at the center. "Philadelphia World Champions" stands in raised text on the perimeter. The left shank announces "1960, NFL, 10-2" while the right provides a figural Eagle clutching a football with the engraved player attribution "C. Bednarik 60." Measuring to a size of nine-and-a-half (9.5) and weighing twenty-five grams (25 g.), the interior band is stamped "Josten 10K" with the sample code "2624." A tough find in NRMT condition
