Description

1960 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball. The Pirates won ninety-five games to capture their first pennant in thirty-three years (when their lost to Murderer's Row in 1927), led by 1960 N.L. MVP Dick Groat (who was almost traded for 1960 A.L. MVP Roger Maris at the end of the 1959 season) and Vern Law's twenty wins. The Fall Classic versus the Bombers proved to be nothing short of epic as the series went the full seven and ended with one swing of the bat by Maz in the bottom of the ninth.

The offered Spalding ONL (Giles) is signed by thirty Word Series champs, including Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente. Others in attendance include Hoak, Burgess, Face, Vernon, Law, Friend, Virdon and more. The ball is a light cream color, the league stamping is bold and the ink autographs grade an overall 7/10 in strength. Please note that the following signatures have been deemed clubhouse versions: Danny Murtaugh, Joe Gibbon, Harry Bright, Gino Cimoli, Gene Baker, Bob Skinner, Dick Groat, Bill Mazeroski and Clem Labine. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
