1971-79 Craig Nettles Game Used Bat. Craig Nettles picked a grand stage for his signature moment. His home run run off Mike Torrez still creates quite a buzz among Red Sox fans. With a labeling period of 1971-79 is this Adirondack model GN9 bat. The bat shows signs of use and many of the ink brandings are faded. Donut impressions and light checking are indicators of use. Athletic tape is affixed around the handle of the uncracked stick. "GN9" is punched into the knob as is "40" in vintage marker. Since Nettles never wore "40" the bat may have been subsequently used by another player as well.Auction Info
