Description

2008 Justin Tuck Game Worn New York Giants Helmet. Justin Tuck had a knack for choosing when the spotlight was at its absolute brightest to shine. In the Giants' two recent Super Bowl upsets of New England, Tuck was the central figure on defense. Worn during the 2008 season is this special Giants helmet. The helmet was originally obtained through equipment staffers Ed and Joe Skiba. At least three selling points make this a noteworthy inclusion into a game-used helmet collection. Up first is the uniquely angled facemask on front. Also worth special mention is the Speed padding inside to help combat concussions and give the player a more comfortable feel. The third point of reference is the "GU 63" decal on back worn by NFL teams in honor of Gene Upshaw's passing early in the season. These decals are captured on back: American flag, transparent warning, "91" and NFL shield. Numerous gouges have found their way onto the navy shell from Sunday conflicts. Even the "NY" decals exhibit use. Three labels appear inside: (2) white warning stickers, "L" size and "Riddell Inc. 01-09." Originally obtained from New York Giants equipment managers Joe and Ed Skiba. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
