Description

1967-68 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Championship Ring Presented to Jean Beliveau. Descended from ancestors counted among the very first westerners to settle the land that would become Canada, Beliveau would become one of that nation's most beloved sports heroes during twenty seasons of service to the Montreal Canadiens. Just the fourth player to reach the 500 goal plateau, and the second to 1,000 points, Beliveau earned two Hart Memorial Trophies as the NHL's most valuable player, and one each of the Art Ross Memorial Trophy as top scorer and Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.

But Beliveau's greatest claim to fame is his unmatched claim to seventeen Stanley Cup Championships--ten earned as a player and seven more as a team executive for the Habs. Presented is the personal hardware issued to the iconic centre for his penultimate Championship as a player, a season of dominance that saw the Canadiens drop only a single playoff game en route to a sweep of the St. Louis Blues in the Finals. It was Beliveau who would accept the Cup after the final buzzer, an honor he'd enjoy five times during ten seasons as captain.

That Stanley Cup is embossed in gold on the red stone of the ring face, encircled by raised text announcing, "World Hockey Champions." Left shank provides the historic attribution--"Beliveau" above a Canadiens team logo. Right shank announces the vintage above an NHL crest. Interior band measures to a size seven (7) and is engraved "Everest 14K."

With so many rings from which to choose, Beliveau left only the slightest signs of wear to this well-preserved beauty, which weighs sixteen grams (16g.) The ring is accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Beliveau himself. Letter of provenance from Jean Beliveau.
