Description
Very Rare 1925-26 Western Hockey League (WHL) Saskatoon Vs. Calgary Program. The Western Canada Hockey League (1921-25) merged with the Pacific Coast Hockey Association in 1924 to become the Western Hockey League for the 1925-26 season. This league was to survive for just one year going under for lack of players who were now flocking to the National Hockey League. Material from this early is extremely rare. Offered is what could very possibly be the only known (certainly one of just a few) example to survive. The cover features Saskatoon star Bill Cook. The program is serial No. 6. The condition is fair to poor with rips, tears, creasing, etc. plus mis-aligned binding. While some may feel the condition is not ideal, how long will it be before another becomes available. This is one of two WHL programs available in this auction.Auction Info
