In the 2009 season, Chris Carpenter, a pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, delivered an exceptional performance. Returning strongly from injuries, he posted a 17-4 record with a 2.24 ERA, leading the National League. His remarkable comeback earned him the NL Comeback Player of the Year Award and Cy Young Award consideration.
This road gamer, authenticated with a Cardinals letter of provenance, saw action when Carpenter enjoyed his remarkable comeback. The button-up garment shows good overall use with numeral softness and fraying throughout. Carpenter signed the reverse "2" in felt tip. Three tags are in the tail: "Majestic," "2009" and 'size 52."
