Description

1940's Philadelphia Phillies Game Worn Warm-Up Jacket. A lack of any player identifier precludes us from being able to attribute this rare garment to a specific individual, but we're certain it dates to the decade which saw such legends as Chuck Klein and Richie Ashburn represent the City of Brotherly Love. The letterman style jacket features a red wool body with beige suede sleeves and the team logo "P" applied in white felt over the heart. "Wilson [size] 44" labeling is affixed at interior collar. Sleeves are satin-lined, a nice, expensive touch. Only a bit of minor staining to the exterior sleeves and some insignificant moth holes in the body are to be noted in terms of condition issues. Our catalog imagery should accurately attest to how wonderfully this jacket displays over a half century since its time at Shibe Park. LOA from Lou Lampson.
