Description

1981 Dave Browning Super Bowl XV Game Worn Jersey. Consigned directly by the second round pick in the 1978 draft, this road white mesh jersey saw action on football's grandest stage as Browning's Oakland Raiders defeated the Philadelphia Eagles twenty-seven to ten at New Orleans' Superdome. Terrific defensive end wear is apparent throughout, with the scuffs and scrapes of that Championship battle still clearly apparent in the green hit marks from Eagles helmets, blue turf paint and brown "stickum" that is often found on Raiders jerseys of the era. Number "73" is applied in black and grey tackle twill to chest, back and sleeves, with "Browning" screened across rear nameplate. Dual "Sand-Knit" labeling inside collar announces "Raiders Exclusivity" and size "44." Washing instructions tag is found at inner side seam. Fantastic wear from an historic game with first-person provenance. What more could you ask for? LOA from Lou Lampson. Letter of provenance from Dave Browning.
