1979 Andre Dawson Game Used & Signed Bat, PSA/DNA GU 9. The 1977 National League Rookie of the Year made his first appearance in the top twenty-five for MVP balloting in 1979, posting impressive stats like twenty-five homers, ninety-two RBI's and thirty-five stolen bases. The presented signature model Hillerich & Bradsby R43 exhibits excellent game use from this early chapter of Dawson's Hall of Fame career with ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks and grain checking on the barrel and light pine tar on the uncracked handle. Number "10" is written at knob and barrel end. Length is thirty-five and a half inches (35.5"), weight thirty-four ounces (34.2 oz.). Gold sharpie signature on barrel is 9/10. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9.
