Description
1961 Roger Maris Single Signed Baseball. Providing the most ideal vintage imaginable, this ONL (Giles) baseball was autographed for the son of the New York Yankees' team pilot the evening following Maris' record-breaking sixty-first home run. The newly-crowned single season home run king's blue ballpoint ink is a glorious 9+/10, and reads, "To Randy, Best of Luck, Roger Maris." A few small scuffs on the ball are noted for the sake of full disclosure, but do not interfere with the tremendous visual appeal. A notarized letter of provenance from the pilot's son Randy Jr. will accompany the lot. A very tough single made all the more desirable by its marvelous condition and spectacular provenance.
