Description

1940 Superman "Saved From Buried Alive" #69 PSA EX 5. The first issue of "Superman" hit the stands in the summer of 1939. The cover price for the 64-page debut was a whopping 10-cents. Today, it is one of the most valuable comic books with no sign of losing any of its desirability. The same can be said of the 72-card 1940 Gum Inc. series. Offered is a scarce high-number card #69 "Saved From Buried Alive" graded PSA EX 5. The nicely centered scene is mildly affected by ink ghosting, the border is clean except for one spot in the lower left corner. PSA has graded forty-two total examples, this is one of seven in EX with fourteen rated higher.
