1987 "1st Place" Golf Trophy Presented to Willie McCovey from The Willie McCovey Collection. Mac was an avid golfer after his retirement as a professional baseball player in 1980 and Hawaii was his favorite golfing destination. Of his numerous golfing awards, the ceramic trophy offered here is probably the most unique and attractive. Depicts golden whale flukes emerging out of a deep blue sea base. Gold inscription reads "1987 GTE Kaanapali Classic 1st Place Pro Am." Measures twelve and a half (12.5") high and weighs 2.4 pounds.
