Description

1919 World Series (Game One) Ticket Stub, PSA Fair 1.5 - The Fix Is On! The star Chicago White Sox pitcher Eddie Cicotte intentionally beaned the first Reds batter he faced on October 1, 1919, signaling to the underworld that the fix was on and dooming himself, Shoeless Joe and a half dozen more to baseball ignominy. The presented stub for this most consequential date in Dead Ball history exhibits expected wear but presents cleanly nonetheless, as indicated by our catalog photography. One of the most collectible tickets in the hobby, from the game's darkest day. Encapsulated by PSA, Fair 1.5.
