1999 "Pacific Coast League All-Centennial Team" Award Presented to Willie McCovey from The Willie McCovey Collection. In 1958, McCovey's Pacific Cost League team, the Phoenix Giants, won the PCL championship and he hit .319 for the year. In 1959, he hit .372 with twenty-nine homers and ninety-two RBI for the PCL Giants when the San Francisco Giants brought him up to the bigs in late July. In his Major League debut, he went four-for-four and finished the season at .354."The Pacific Coast League of Professional Baseball Clubs, Inc.
