1956 Topps Ted Williams (White Back) #5 PSA NM-MT 8. Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame left fielder Ted Williams was one of Major League Baseball's greatest hitters ever who registered a .344 lifetime batting average over 19 seasons. A two-time American League MVP (1946 and '49), Williams led the Bosox to the 1946 AL pennant. A power hitter as well, he launched a total of 521 round-trippers. Offered is a 1956 Topps card that captures the "Splendid Splinter" via two images, one up close headshot and another of him swinging through at the plate. This high-grade, white-back example of card #5 from the '56 Topps series is found with outstanding color, decent centering, clean white borders, four good corners and a clean reverse. Graded PSA NM-MT 8.
