As an African American, he broke Major League Baseball's longstanding color barrier that memorable day and opened the door for countless opportunities for players of color to play, compete and succeed at the Major League level. Offered is Robinson's prized 1948 Leaf rookie card. Card #79 from the colorful Leaf series shares a handsome headshot of Jackie sporting his Dodgers cap and smiling back at the photographer. Found in Very Good condition, this card boasts good color, decent centering and a squeaky clean reverse. Graded SGC VG 3.
