1887 N172 Old Judge Ed Delahanty (#123-4) SGC 60 EX 5. When this card first circulated, future Hall of Fame outfielder Big Ed Delahanty was a promising 20-year old freshly signed with Philadelphia. You would never guess he would top the .400 mark not once but three times and at least once lead the league in hits, doubles, triples, home runs and RBIs. His lifetime average of .376 ranks him #5 on the All Time Best lists. He is also known for his unique manner of ultimate demise, an apparent victim of his own vices.This remarkable gem is a gleaming memento from happier times when he was hailed as one of the greatest figures in baseball. Any card that features the mythical athlete is a prized possession. He is honored with seven different N172 Old Judge poses.
