Description

1908 Chicago White Sox Rooters Panoramic Framed Photograph. The 1908 Chicago White Sox, known as the "Hitless Wonders," were renowned for their strong pitching and defense rather than their offensive prowess. Managed by Fielder Jones, the team finished third in the American League with an 88-64 record, largely relying on a stellar pitching staff that included Ed Walsh, who set a major league record with 464 innings pitched and 40 wins in a single season. Despite their lack of hitting power, with no player hitting more than 3 home runs, the White Sox remained competitive through strategic play and solid fundamentals. Their season was marked by close games and low-scoring affairs, reflecting their reliance on pitching and fielding to win games.

Offered is a 10x36" frame that holds a panoramic photograph of a team super fan club known as "White Sox Rooters." The photograph is a horse-drawn caravan attending Opening Day. Wear exhibited on the frame.
