1976 Defensive Player of the Year Trophy Presented to Jack Youngblood from The Jack Youngblood Collection. Beginning 1969, the Kansas City Committee of 101 awarded gridiron excellence Player of the Year awards. The national committee was comprised of 101 sportswriters and sportscasters who covered the league and selected the top offensive, defensive and coach from each conference.

Offered here is a highly eye appealing NFC Defensive Player of the Year trophy that was presented to legendary lineman Jack Youngblood by the Kansas City Committee of 101 in recognition for his 1976 season, when he tallied 14.5 sacks in only 14 games.
