1980 All-Star Ring Presented to Al Kaline from The Al Kaline Collection. In 1980, Kaline was the honorary captain for the A.L. All-Star Team (while Roy Campanella captained the N.L). His eighteen All-Star appearances as a player and 1980 Cooperstown induction both probably played a role in his nomination.Mr. Tiger's Midsummer Classic appearance at Dodger Stadium earned him this ring. A center blue stone with a silver star is surrounded by "Baseball All Star." Sides report "Kaline," "Major League Baseball," and MLB logo, along with "L.A. Dodgers 1980" and American, National." The ring measures to a eight ("8") size, weighs 14.75 grams, and displays "Balfour Stainless" stamped on the interior band. Letter of provenance from Mark Kaline.
