Description
2007 Justin Verlander Game Worn Detroit Tigers Jersey Used 9/28 vs. the White Sox--MLB Authentic. Road gray knit sports "Detroit" diagonally scripted across the chest, with "35" offset below, and "Verlander" arched on the verso, with "35" below, all sewn-on in midnight/orange/white tackle twill. Navy piping accentuates the collar and button path with Majestic tagging in the tail indicating player, size and season. MLB Authentication serialized holographic sticker (BB605914) affixed.Verlander did not pitch in the 9/28 contest but he did pitch the following day on 9/29. Also, the jersey exhibits some discoloration/wear that could be from game use and/or storage. Furthermore, the Tigers' equipment manager informed our consignor that players typically wore jerseys for approximately ten games.
During the 2007 season, Verlander went 18-6 with 183 K's and a 3.66 ERA. He was also an All-Star and placed fifth in the Cy Young balloting. Major League Baseball Authentication (BB605914). LOA from Heritage Auctions.
