Description

1888 N28 Allen & Ginter Jack Glasscock PSA NM - MT 8. Jack Glasscock was the premier shortstop of the barehanded era. Glasscock was nicknamed "Pebbly Jack" because he was always picking up pebbles from the field. His meticulous infield grooming paid off as he led the National League shortstops six times in fielding percentage, six times in assists, and four times in double plays. Glasscock played for ten teams in a 17-year Major League career. He led the National League in batting average when he hit .336 for the New York Giants in 1890. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. This 1888 Allen & Ginter set has fifty cards. The cards feature beautiful full color lithographs and measure 1-1/2" by 2-1/2". The cards are very scarce, particularly at the higher grades. This is a real find as PSA NM-MT pop is 9, only one higher.
