Description

1995 Lee Smith Game Worn & Signed California Angels All-Star Cap with MLB Letter. Lee Smith ended plenty of rallies during his Hall of Fame career. The towering righty was never afraid to pitch inside, and hitters were never too eager to rush the mound if they did take one for the team. Smith's induction to the Hall of Fame this summer will add to the value of this "New Era size 7 1/8" cap. This heavily-worn gamer was worn by the reliever when he pitched in the 1995 All-Star Game. Letters of provenance from Donald Fehr and American League President Gene Budig secure authenticity. Heavy sweat staining is visible on the cloth headband which suggests months of use. "47" is written on the underside for identification purposes. Smith signed the front in bold black felt tip. Letter of provenance from The American League of Professional Baseball Clubs (Budig). Letter of provenance from Major League Baseball Players Association (Fehr). LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
