Description

1921 Elwood Wirts Player Transfer Agreement Signed by Bill Veeck Sr. Many remember Bill Veeck Jr. for his gift of promotion and making the game downright fun. He had a pretty good teacher in his father. The elder Veeck ran the Chicago Cubs from 1919 until his death in 1933. This letter of agreement sent down Elwood Wirts from the Cubs to Rochester. Veeck Sr. signed the bottom in bold fountain pen as did George Stallings. Stallings was a Major League skipper for thirteen years and is in the International Baseball Hall of Fame. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
