Description

1985-86 Bill Laimbeer Game Worn Detroit Pistons Sneakers. Loved by Pistons' fans and hated by everyone else in the world, Bill Laimbeer forged an impressive basketball legacy during his fourteen seasons in the NBA. While casual fan may only recall the muggings and fisticuffs, true hardwood diehards remember Bill as one of the most accomplished defensive rebounders in league annals, a skilled outlet passer, accurate perimeter marksman, and a superb interior positional defender. Brandishing career marks of .498 from the field, .837 from the stripe, and 9.7 boards per contest, Laimbeer was a four-time All-Star and the starting center on the Bad Boys' two NBA Championship teams.

Presented here is Bill's game worn footwear from his finest statistical season in the league, 1985-86, when he tallied per game marks of 16.6 points and an NBA high 13.1 rebounds. The Converse Star Tech white leather uppers are accentuated by trim on the ankles, "Converse" with star and chevron logo on the sides, and alternate Converse logo on the heels, all in purple. White rubber midsoles, purple outer soles, and "Converse All-Star" tagging on the tongues round out the exterior design. The interior reports a size "17" and correct coding. Each sneaker is signed twice in vintage black and red sharpie "Bill Laimbeer #40." The inner ankle areas are a bit sticky to the touch which is a common result of ageing with certain models from this era. Still, these exemplars show nice wear and are in great overall condition.
