Description
1980's Curley Neal Game Worn & Signed Harlem Globetrotters Jersey. The Trotters featured ball handler for twenty-two seasons (1963-85), Curly Neal appeared in more than 6,000 games, exciting fans in nearly 100 countries.Here is one of his later gamers, dating from the 1980's. What makes this specimen especially intriguing is the appearance of his nickname on the back (a reference to the Three Stooges' Curly Howard). Blue mesh displays "Harlem Globetrotters 22" on the front and "Curly 22" on the verso, all sewn-on in red/white/gold tackle twill. The font of "Curly" is particularly attractive. Red and white trim adorns the collar and arm openings and there is a "Wilson 42" tag in the tail.
The jersey shows fabulous game wear, from at least an entire season of use, and is signed on the front in bold black sharpie. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.LOA from Heritage Auctions.
