Description

Circa 1970 Jerry Quarry Fight Worn Robe.
UPDATE: Letter of provenance from Troy Kinunen.

Named the sport's most popular fighter by Ring Magazine during his peak years of 1968-71, Jerry Quarry leaned hard into the noble tradition of Irish fighters, as this green velour robe would indicate. "Jerry Quarry" is applied in chenille white lettering to back, while terrycloth interior has a green stitched shamrock with the words "God Bless You" at his heart. This terrycloth interior is heavily stained with the sweat of what we must conclude is a long term of usage. A letter of provenance from boxing collectibles legend Craig Hamilton attests the robe was purchased directly from the Quarry family. LOA from Craig Hamilton. Letter of provenance from Troy Kinunen. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
