Description

1909 T204 Ramly Frank Chance PSA NM-MT 8 - Pop Two, One Higher. Well over fifty times as scarce as its T206 contemporary, the T204 Ramly series both fascinates and frustrates today's collector with its elegant beauty and its woefully insufficient population. Add to the calculation a paper stock measurably thinner than the average trading card, and it's clear why high-grade specimens are rarely seen on the hobby's auction block. The golden metallic scrollwork conveys added refinement to the regal countenance that Carl Horner's photographic portrait provides. The issue finds the Hall of Fame terminus of the Chicago Cubs' fabled double-play combination in the first year of a World Championship drought that sees a legitimate threat to its endurance in 2016.

Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of only two cards to earn the NM-MT rating by PSA . The one and only card with a higher assessment is a lone 8.5 NM-MT+. Here we are pleased to present one of only two Frank Chance representations to achieve the NM-MT 8 grade. Remarkable corners considering the fragile stock and centering that if not described as perfection would only lead to confusion. His central portrait is crisp and sharp and very nicely complimented by the surrounding embossing and rich gold metallic decoration.
