1963 Sonny Liston & Brian London Photographs, Lot of 4. Sonny Liston was a formidable heavyweight boxer known for his powerful punching ability and intimidating presence, which made him a dominant force in the boxing world during the early 1960s. He captured the heavyweight title from Floyd Patterson in 1962 and successfully defended it in a rematch, both times with first-round knockouts, cementing his reputation as one of the most fearsome boxers of his era. Brian London, also known as "The British Bulldog," was a British heavyweight boxer who twice contended for the world heavyweight title but was generally considered a less technical fighter compared to his contemporaries. London faced Muhammad Ali in 1966 and was defeated in the third round by a technical knockout in a match that highlighted the significant disparity in skill and speed between him and the top fighters of his time.Offered are four 8x10" (or similar) photographs featuring the two ring legends.
