1867 Haney's Base Ball Book of Reference. Authored by baseball forefather Henry Chadwick Haney's Base Ball Book of Reference was released annually throughout the 1860s into the 1870s. This particular example was printed in 1867, a mere two years before the Cincinnati Red Stockings would professionalize the game and forever alter its trajectory. 4x6" booklet exhibits wear consistent with its age - including staining, chipping, and tearing. Cover is repaired with string and tape, leading us to believe this particular copy was well-used and loved.Auction Info
