1939 Davey O'Brien Senior Year TCU Yearbook with TCU Football Memorabilia Lot of 8. For a time in the late 1930s Davey O'Brien captivated a nation with his unbelievable football prowess, leading his TCU Horned Frogs to an undefeated season and national championship on 1938. He also earned the Heisman Trophy as the country's top player. Here we present a collection of effects that relate to 1930s TCU football, most significantly O'Brien's personal yearbook from his 1939 senior year. Also here are some great items from the '38 championship season, including a yearbook created just before the 1939 Sugar Bowl, the 1939 Sugar Bowl program (a 15-7 win over Carnegie Tech, taped spine), a and four TCU pins and pinbacks including a pin from the '39 Sugar Bowl.
