Description
Circa 1920s Ossie Bluege Game Used Bat. The Washington Senators' third baseman for the better part of his 18-year major league career, Ossie Bluege was a symbol of constancy for his side. Dating from the 1920s, we present this significant Hillerich & Bradsby game used pro model bat. The player's H&B endorsement is evidenced by the facsimile autograph that has been burned into the barrel. Some light ball marks pepper the barrel, but game use is most corroborated by the large crack in the handle. The 33" bat has visible lathe marks at either end. Great memento from the man who held fort as a Washington, D.C. accountant during his offseasons. One of the rarest of all Senators player-model bats.Auction Info
