The 1909 E101 "Set of 50" Boss Schmidt card is a scarce and intriguing piece from one of the early 20th century's lesser-known but highly collectible caramel card sets. Issued by an anonymous candy company, this set is commonly referred to as the "Set of 50" due to the checklist size and features many of the era's star players alongside lesser-known names, including Boss Schmidt, the fiery catcher for the Detroit Tigers.
