Description

1975 Ben Hogan Match Used Golf Bag. The man widely considered as the greatest ball striker of all time made use of this brown leather bag at his home course of Shady Oaks in Fort Worth, Texas. Emblazoned on a leather "shield" on the front are the words, "Winner, Hanging Tree Classic, 1975," though we've been unable to find any information about this event through our research. The "AMF Ben Hogan" model bag comes to us from a local (to Heritage's Dallas headquarters) consignor, who supplied it as found complete with Hogan's personal Shady Oaks identification tag attached. The bag remains in solid, undamaged condition with only a moderate degree of expected surface wear. It's certainly ready for some more action on the links, though we can't guarantee you'll drive the ball like Hogan. A single plaid yarn head cover found within the bag is included.
