1964 Sandy Koufax Game Worn Pants. While the dream of owning a Sandy Koufax game worn jersey will remain just that for all but the most well-funded collectors among us, here we provide an opportunity to bring genuine Koufax flannel into your collection at just a fraction of a jersey's price. These home white pants exhibit fine wear from a season that saw Koufax named The Sporting News' Pitcher of the Year after posting a National League-leading earned run average of just 1.74. An embroidered swatch in rear interior waistband announces the owner and tailoring particulars: "Koufax 36 26 1/2 ins." At the right hip we find the "Spalding" manufacturer's label, with "Set 1 1964" flap tag and washing instructions label. Faded marker notations suggest use by minor leaguers subsequent to Koufax' ownership, but these writings cannot diminish the historical importance. The pants display perfectly with no damage of note.
