Description
1973 Topps Comics Test Issue High Grade Complete Set (24). Strictly a test issue, if ever publicly issued at all, the 24 players in the 1973 Topps Comics issue appear on 4-5/8" x 3-7/16" waxed paper wrappers. The design is similar to the popular Bazooka Joe comics and they were intended to be a wrapper for pieces of bubble gum. The inside of the wrapper combines a color photo and facsimile autograph with a comic-style presentation of the player's career highlights. Some of the lesser known players are listed for $200 a piece, while the Nolan Ryan lists for $3,500 in NM condition. With every comic graded by PSA, here is a golden opportunity to own the entire set in high grade.
