Description
Late 1960's Dennis the Menace Cartoons Presented to Ellsworth Vines. Vines was good friends with Dennis' creator Hank Ketcham, and this pair of charming drawings was a gift from the artist to the star athlete. Best is an original pen and ink drawing of Dennis with a golf theme, signed by Ketcham and dated, "La Quinta, New Year's Day, 1968." Size is 6x9". The second piece is a reproduction of an original artwork, but the inscription at the top, "Nothing personal, Elly! Regards--Hank Ketcham" is hand-applied. Size is 9x11". Each exhibits minimal handling wear but could be simply framed to a NRMT appearance. Letter of provenance from Ellsworth Vines III. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.Auction Info
