1957 Tournament Of Champions Money Clip from The Sam Snead Collection. The game of golf played an integral part in the popularity of early Las Vegas. The Desert Inn was one of the first hotels and built one of the first golf courses in Las Vegas and the course was located right on the Las Vegas Strip. Wilbur Clark was the face of the Desert Inn and the PGA Tour conducted it's first Tournament of Champions there in 1954. This item is a very unique and ornate contestant money clip to the 1957 Tournament of Champions with Wilbur Clark's Desert Inn enameled on the front of the clip. Sam Snead's name is engraved on the back side. Letter of provenance from Jack Snead.
