Description
2004 Detroit Pistons NBA Championship Ring (Senior VP of Marketing). The 2004 Detroit Pistons delivered one of the most iconic upsets in NBA Finals history, defeating the heavily favored Los Angeles Lakers in five games. Anchored by a stifling defense led by Ben Wallace and the disciplined schemes of head coach Larry Brown, Detroit held a star-studded Lakers team-featuring Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone, and Gary Payton-to under 82 points per game. Chauncey Billups earned Finals MVP honors for his poised playmaking and timely scoring. The Pistons' cohesive, team-first approach contrasted sharply with the Lakers' individual talent, resulting in a dominant performance that redefined the value of chemistry and defense.This first (and, so far, last) NBA Championship since the Bad Boys era is commemorated here, the ring face packed with genuine diamonds and a touch of yellow gold. "Pistons" is studded across the top, with a Larry O'Brien Trophy and raised lettering announcing, "2004 World Champions." Left shank identifies team executive Louis Korpas by surname above text reading, "The Right Way," three diamond-studded Larry O'Brien Trophies and "SVP" for Korpas' title. Right shank features an enameled NBA logo with text reading, "Detroit, Going to Work" and the result of the Finals.
Interior band is stamped "Intergold 14K" and engraved, "Lou Korpas 059." Size twelve (12). Weight is eighty-two grams (82 g.). Light to moderate wear. Original wooden display case included.
